So yeah, it looks like Sierra games have an issue with the mouse, but everything else I've tried works; Maniac Mansion, The Bard's Tale, Deja Vu, Shadowgate, and Uninvited all work. So, funny story, they actually did send me a Q500 mouse. So I plugged it in, added the 7.04 mouse driver, added a line in the autoexec to launch it, and it works!....kinda. I first tried using it in the SCI remake of KQ1. Launched the setup program, and selected "use mouse" when prompted. ...

Cool, thanks for the info. I went and pulled the trigger on it. We'll see what happens and I'll report my findings. Worst case scenario, I'm out like 16 bucks.

I was considering buying one, but not sure if it would actually work on the jr. Anybody have any experience with these?

So, I found a SEALED box of cleaning floppies on eBay and ran one through the jr. Lo and behold, everything is running absolutely fine now. Disks are booting again, and even some disks that had some problems being read were able to be read with no problem at all. Thankfully it was just a dirty drive...

Hopefully it's just as easy as cleaning the heads. I'll ty that and see what happens.

Just looked up "B" in the Guide to Operations and it gives the very vague "Have your computer serviced" solution. Ugh.
