Thanks DoctorOctal for the tip! Unfortunately it measured 5v consistently. I'm guessing it must be with the motherboard.

I've started having a weird issue with the keyboard not working on my PCjr. 9 times out of 10 it'll be completely unresponsive but every once in a while it'll work. There's a decent alternative to HxC called Flash Floppy. It's free and seems to work well for me on the PCjr. Granted I haven't tested it extensively but I'm pretty happy with it so far.

Please consider me interested in ordering one as well if it's still not too late

I hope no one minds me doing some thread necromancy but I wanted to share a sound update. I haven't completely solved my problem with audio but I was able to get audio from the LM358's Output B pin. I jumped that to the Audio Out RCA and it works enough for me.

Thanks! The sound is exactly as drignor described here. I haven't gone too in depth yet with tying to trace it out on the board as suggested in that thread but if I use the RCA audio out and hook it up to a amplifier, I do hear sound but with a lot of noise.

Hi, I just entered the world of PCjr ownership about a week ago. Attached is my jr with King's Quest, but I am having some issues with sound. Other than that it's working fantastically given the age. The entire idea of being able to stick a cartridge in it blows my mind.
