I think there are covers that fit ofer the back of the JR ports, they are add-ons, dont have them but have seen them on ebay (rare)
and other pictures..

Take pictures (up close) of your pin repair and,post so we can see

The broken plastic tabs are a chronic issue with the now older Jrs. I have not taken out a motherboard and nothad on or two break.. itdoes not hurt anything if they are missing, but I get not wanting to damage these relics for sure... Just remove all the screws including the oneonthe CART holder up ...

Hey guys still here... life had interrupted my JR time... I do have the Jr Modem slot Serial port board... It gives the Ring Indicator line missing from the back side serial port... IBM needed another Gate fir,that line, assuming cost savings was the reason for leaving it off.. I also a have the ADD...

Already being done, but the Pullup/Pulldown is a viable solution for the existing users.

I have included the resistors in my Rev 'C' of the JRIDE and it works. Yes a plug in ( scsi ) as you mentioned is what I did when I tested this fix, but it hangs off the JR connector and you cannot put the side car cover on. It is just looks tho, if you dont mind that. I dont think alot of the folks...
