Re: Color Monitor for my PCjr
That's a good combo, but just wanted to mention that the "TV adapter" and "monitor (RGBI) adapter" are two different adapters. Nobody should use the TV adapter unless desperate. Yes plugging in directly from the PCjr to the RCA input on the TV worked much better than the adapter...

Re: PCjr ATX/PicoPSU Power Adapter now available
The 'pick' wire power comes thru the mother board side connector and the from the addon side car of the Racore unit, it tells the upstairs pwr supply to turn on when the lower lever pwr supply iis turned on.. I'm sure it could be figured out . When you install the 3rd level hard drive, you end up s...

Re: PCjr ATX/PicoPSU Power Adapter now available
This is probably a dumb question, but I will ask it anyway.. that is usually how I learn. :D How would the voltages be tied into the the other level upgrades, like the second floppy drive and even the third level hard drive? Simply by tracing the voltages and paralleling it all together? How would t...

Re: Color Monitor for my PCjr
I had planned on using the IBM made adapter that was proprietary for the PCjr, but I tried the composite output and it work fine.

Re: Schematic: Racore 1504/1507 Disk Upgrade
I will take pictures of mine tomorrow for you, the side car controls the drives, with a small cable that plugs into it and selects drive A and B pictures are coming... Thank you, but no need for pictures.. I think you missed the point of my post. The controller card that I have for the drive two ha...

Re: Schematic: Racore 1504/1507 Disk Upgrade
Have you lloked at the racore stuff/downloads here on Mikes down;oad section? I am not familiar with the Racore HD, but there may be software that needs loading at startup. the docs may have some hints.... oh Iam sure you did this, but make sure any HD jumpers are the same as the original... hope t...

Re: Schematic: Racore 1504/1507 Disk Upgrade
Let me throw this in here.. I have two ST-225 hard drives.. #1 = one that came with the JR, and #2 = another I pulled out of the Compaq luggable. I have the jumpers set to the first position on both of them. #1 When I boot up: With no boot disk in drive "A" Goes straight to basic #1 With b...

Re: Schematic: Racore 1504/1507 Disk Upgrade
Oh yeah I got the keyboard.. It's the second version. It works excellent! I don't know why people complain about them so much. Yes I'm getting closer. I might pull a drive out of one of my IBM PC's for testing. But I will definitely check the VCC on the TTL chips. It's spins over abd lights up but i...

Re: Schematic: Racore 1504/1507 Disk Upgrade
I checked the side card connections and found one of the pins bent out of the way so it would not plug-in. Once I straightened it out I'm up to 640K. I swapped floppy drives around and apparently one of them is bad. I cannot get the hard drive to be recognized. I tried three different drives and bas...
