Re: Looking for photos of the bottom of the mainboard
That does help, though I think the forum has resized that down to a low resolution. In any event, I think it gives me what I need, thanks

Re: PCjr CGA breakout sound?
And furthermore, all three of these are the same sound output as seen by the mux chip, so this would only be useful if your RCA port is broken. But then you'd just fix the RCA port.

Looking for photos of the bottom of the mainboard
I don't really want to take my jr apart right now since I know that someone probably has a system apart already. I've got an idea for a project and wanted to see if anyone had any good photos of the bottom-side of the board, particularly around the sidecar connector. I'm also interested in a photo o...

Re: "dir" replacement?
It would maybe be better to figure out what data structure in RAM holds the free space value (and whether or not it checked), and then overwrite that on boot so that DOS doesn't think it needs to check anymore.

Re: Writing img files to 360K disks with no other PC
This comes up all the time. Those of us who can write disk images easily (jrIDE) should maybe have a sticky somewhere so people can just send us (via eBay or whatever) some blank disks and we can then write whatever they want. I like Trixter's idea of a bootstrap, but I like the idea of making a cas...

Re: jrIDE v2 - parallel port
There's probably enough room for a header connector, but you'd need a header to DB-25 cable. What I'd rather see is some provision for attaching a daughter board (unpopulated through holes? pads which could be soldered to using a castellated board? both of these are free but require a slight redesig...

Re: THE solution for video, for the PCjr... Your thoughts?
The sync is analog, I thought? I have some slight jailbars in solid colors on my display via CGA, likely due to the fact that my cable is made using Ethernet cable.

Re: THE solution for video, for the PCjr... Your thoughts?
You can also make the aforementioned connector yourself if you desire. The pinouts are readily available. The downside is that you probably don't have a nice enough cable to do this with, and using something like a Cat 6 cable like I did is going to introduce noise and make the image quality not gre...

Re: I/O Connector Pin Repair
Piggybacking on Chuckphd53's suggestion, I would consider building a board with the PS/2 to PCjr circuit on it (like TexElec sells), hard-wire it, and then poke a cable through the grille and have a PS/2 jack dangle out the back. If you want to actually fix it, you'll have to get some pin headers. I...

Re: CGA2RGB Convertor on Ebay
That same seller had them listed for $15 at some point, but then I guess restocked and now wants way too much money.
