Re: PCJr Cartridge with battery-backed S-RAM
Imho, I believe both you and raphnet hit it on the head as to the PCjr's #1 party trick being the cartridge port. Had big blue not given up so quickly on the idea we might have seen the kind of variety we see in the Commodore 64. Poetic, since that was what the peanut was designed to compete against...

Re: A complete idiots guide to the jrIDE
Yes I would.
The latest trouble seems to have started when I began messing around with the parallel printer sidecar.
Any assistance is welcome.

Re: A complete idiots guide to the jrIDE
Okay, here we go again. First, I never did manage to get any of my solid-state drives to work with the jrIDE. I went over budget and gave up when the sd cart came out (It is soo much simpler.) Now after messing around with the printer sidecar, the RTC has stopped working. I've tried all four irq set...

Re: Price Check: NIB PCjr and Monitor
Just my 2 cents.... I troll eBay for PCjr stuff often. $300 seems to be about the reasonable going rate for a complete system (IMHO). Though, what is included beyond monitor, unit, powerbrick, keyboard, basic cartridge, and one sidecar (typical complete system) can vary quite a bit. It's still less ...

But then!
Found this: http://boginjr.com/it/sw/dev/5150caxx/
Some wonderful madman has made a Cassette interface for DOS.
I don't think it's been tested on the PCjr yet, but I intend to try it out once my replacement tape-deck arrives.

The XGecu TL866II was recommended to me. The cost was about $55.00US at the time. https://www.ebay.com/i/223232860577?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-213727-13078-0&mkcid=2&itemid=223232860577&targetid=4580840328168110&device=c&mktype=&googleloc=&poi=&c...

Re: Another Computer Reset-PCJr owner!
Welcome. I'm still learning the ins and outs of my own jrIDE so I started a thread here https://www.brutman.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1010 Search around for threads on setting up the drive. Unfortunately, the device comes with little documentation outside of the forums. Take your time and r...
