Cringely (Mark Stephens) has been writing about the shenanigans going on at IBM for a few years now. I know his sources are good because I was one of them. He borrowed quite a few words from an email and re-printed them, verbatim. Without attribution of course ... ;-0

That still doesn't change what has been going on at IBM. I started in 1992, right before the first round of layoffs in 1993. IBM was still a reasonably good place to work until 2003 or so. Nobody was particularly happy with Louis Gerstner as the CEO, but Sam Palmisanno was far worse. He is directly responsible for the path IBM is on now (financial engineering, not technical engineering) and it is destroying the company from the inside out.

I left on my own in 2011. I am so glad ...
