Here's the one I bought:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/123552344481?V ... 3552344481

It works great and is powering a parallel sidecar and a jrIDE board.

That was the same one I was looking at.

Kinda sad that the replacement for a PCjr power card and brick is going to cost almost twice as much as getting a power brick off of ebay did. On the bright side the pico psu will offer about double the power the long card does... so that a plus.

I think this will be the perfect solution to power one of the jrs I have with the tecmar side cars, using it to power the 5 volts I need (power hack) without the risk of stressing the short power board.

Thanks, that looks like a good option.

I'd still be interested to hear from anyone here if you think that I actually need, or would benefit from, a new psu like this PicoPSU or an ATX. Things seem ok with the original PCjr PSU right now (see system description in message above), but I'll probably add a second parallel sidecar as soon as I can get the wiring mods done.
