Hi y'all. I'm a new PCjr owner after not being able to decide whether to get one for the last 35 years. Finding a pile of them at an estate sale along with a Demon Attack cart for PCjr, was the motivation I needed!
Anyway, I'm fixing one of the dead ones. I get two beeps and a blank screen on power-on. I swapped around parts from the good one to confirm that the power supply is good. I read that two beeps is a video problem, so I poked around the video section. I found that the sync signal is there, but the red, green, blue, and intensity lines were all low. Poking further I found that they are low because the data lines on the 6845 are floating. All of the rest of the pins on the 6845 seem to be doing what they should from what I can tell with a logic probe.
I ordered a new 6845 but wanted to check in with folks before I go through the trouble of desoldering to see if anyone thinks it might *not* be the 6845 that's bad.

Re: Two beeps!
Any luck with replacing the 6845? I have an PCjr with the same two beeps issue and I'd like to know how others fixed it.
