I was able to get a Jr-IDE on the last batch that was listed on eBay and I just bought a IBM PC Jr Power Expansion Attachment (I have no idea what it does I only wanted the case). A friend got me a NOB IBM PC Jr Joystick,
So if anyone needs the guts of it let me know.
I am still on the lookout for a machine and monitor. I never owned one of these machine but I do remember selling the software and cartridges when I worked at Toys R Us in the 80's (well I say selling the software but no one ever bought it). Seems like a odd little machine that might be fun to play with.

Re: New to the Group and IBM PCJr But on my way . . .
If you're ever in the Minneapolis/St Paul area, I have 4 monitors in various condition that I would like to part with. Some of these are hand-me-downs from mbrutman himself when he left the area.
Re: New to the Group and IBM PCJr But on my way . . .
Same for the Southeast/Atlanta. I need to trim my JR collection. I have 2 monitors and 5-6 system units I need to part with to cut my collection by about half. I think I'm only going to hold onto the Quadram and Legacy double decker units + 2 more for testing / normal use w/ monitors. I have 6-7 large plastic totes of docs, parts, software, etc. A lot of it duplication.
Some things I can mail, but not the monitors. All 4 CRTs have slowly failing issues. So I need to find a day to go through and refurbish all 4.

So one BIG step closer - I "won" (like you won something you have to pay for it) an eBay auction for a PCjr kit:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-IBM-PC ... true&rt=nc
so with any luck it will arrive in one piece and I will get to try it out soon.

Re: New to the Group and IBM PCJr But on my way . . .
Always nice to get a Jr with monitor, and working...
I found one from a guy in Dallas, his dad was an Air Force Officer and it had boxes and printer software etc....
it was Like New...no coloring, had the covers for the Monitor and keyboard....
it actually looked like it was bought yesterday and never used......
I spent extra to have him take and have it packed for shipping, and it arrived in perfect condition.....
it is a real treasure.....
Hoping yours also make the trip safe.....
it's a good feeling when you open the boxes and it is in one piece..
what I did find as I am sure with many of the jr folks, I have to take each Floppy drive spindle, belt etc apart and clean along with other moving parts.
very carefully, I take pictures to stuff back together is easy
if you run into any issues, reach out to us we are happy to help..

Re: New to the Group and IBM PCJr But on my way . . .
So a few new photos to share. I got my PCjr from the eBay seller, they packed it well and it came in the original boxes (monitor and PCjr). The Keyboard had massive corrosion on the battery contact and no matter what I could not get it to work. I ended up ordering a new replacement from an eBay seller.
I took the main unit completely apart and cleaned it up today, dusted off the main board, fan and drive.
I set up my Jr-IDE and remoted the 3 LEDs from the IDE to CF adapter.
Next up I have to clean up the monitor. I also got a Joystick (NIB) from a friend.
Still need some DOS disk so I can setup the CF and I have some games on the way (Ultima I, II, III, IV, V, VI & Tetris) Still looking for Lode Runner and Wings of Fury

Can we call the power card a "Blue Light Special" ?
