I tested mine with my jrIDE before I released it but maybe I missed something. All the code does (the source is there, you can check) is switch the drive number to 80 (C:), 81 (D:) etc. and just work with track 0 sector 0 as always. It should work...
When I get my jrIDE system setup again I can take a look at it.

Now it did work when I made the initial 6.22 boot disk in my AT, I was able to boot the Jr with it just fine.
Re: XT-IDE on PCjr
Hmm, maybe I should try installing DOS 5 or 6.22 on my jrIDE sometime to see how it goes. I'm currently running Compaq DOS 3.31.

This thread is getting obnoxiously large. I'm encouraging anybody with a new "tech support" request to start a new thread. (And after a few days on inactivity in this thread, I'm going to close it.)
We've gone all of the way from initially grafting on an XT-IDE card to a Jr using a complete hack to prototype sidecars, and now two production runs of sidecars. That's pretty good for a single thread. ; - 0

Maybe you should 'pin' a thread with a single post and info on ordering the jrIDE. Just a thought. It seems like people wanting to order recently have trouble picking Alan's user name out of the thread.Brutman wrote:This thread is getting obnoxiously large. That is the intent.
