I'm sorry, I'm the guy from Quebec who bought the jrIDE.
After reading this thread I felt a bit bad :-) I know this must take a lot of time and I really appreciate it!

I already got my kids to learn a bit of retro computing, they got to do pixel art using vintage hardware and software (that I wrote!). On a 60inch TV. (No Mouse, just a joystick)
Though the colors are really washed up using the composite signal. (I'll buy something for that soon).

Thanks again !!

As I said, I'm happy to do it. If it were just one bad trip to the post office (or 2 in this case), I'd be building boards every day. But there are a lot of little things that add up.

I'll come back to PCjr stuff soon. But from now till the end of the year I'm swamped with a contract job and couple major side projects.

Hey Everyone,

I just wanted to let you all know that we are ordering parts now for a run of JRIDE boards. I placed the board order this morning, and realized my huge mistake, and I ordered Rev A boards. Whoops. Best I can tell, this will just mean we have to use the old clock IC, which is a few dollars more, but not the end of the world. I'll post back when we get all of the parts in, or please feel free to check our website @ TexElec.com periodically.

Thanks!

Apparently I just missed Kevin when I was in Dallas on Sunday. :(

Just note the B board also needs a tweak. I forgot to put soldermask relief around the crystal oscillator holes. I had to scrape it off all 100 boards of that run. I've recently tweaked the Rev.B art a little to add those mask holes, add a reset switch, and update some silkscreen. I'll upload the new art work this week.

Well now I want the updated version and I don't even have the original. We are in Dallas regularly and I used to live about an hour from Dallas and my dad retired there.
