Broken Screw

Post by PNKlett »

Hi, I overtightened one of my sidecar screws and it broke. Does anybody have experience removing the screw?

It's just below the top and I can't use a screwdriver to remove the screw that it's broken in.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

There are tools for this sort of thing: https://www.familyhandyman.com/tools/ex ... /view-all/

The PCjr sidecar screws are very thin, but hopefully this will get the job done. If not, you'll have to try to put a wedge between the sidecar and the case, and use a thin saw in whatever gap you can create and saw through it.

Hi, Yes I did but with a 1/4 inch drill. The screw remover didn't work to good.
