jrIDE - disable colorburst?

Post by ZiggyTheHamster »

Is it possible to get a version of the BIOS that disables the NTSC colorburst (e.g., mode bw80)? There would be no effect on RGBI displays, but those of us using composite will get readable text... and you could always switch it back just before loading the bootsector.

I don't think it would be that horrible to do (and have it controlled by a flag setting), but the question is why?

The color output over composite is nasty in 80 column mode, but still readable.

That's true. Maybe I should just make the CGA cable for my PVM and stop using composite :)
