That same seller had them listed for $15 at some point, but then I guess restocked and now wants way too much money.
Re: CGA2RGB Convertor on Ebay
They will accept best offers, accepted my $45 offer and just received today. I'm actually trying to use it with a PCJX. Agree it is pretty expensive, but seems RGBI monitors are few and far between these days. Would be nice if they were less expensive, but it's a fairly niche product and I'm glad it exists! I believe they do have the schematic posted on their website, so theoretically you could have your own batch made if you were to design the PCB for the components to go onto.
What do you all use to double the scan frequency? Seems the GBS-8200 is the standard from what I've read.

Yes, that is what I use. There are two options the CGA2RGB and the BIT-C-128 Video DAC form www.bit-c128.com/. I have the C128 one, but I understand the CGA2RGB is a little better.
Enhanced PCjr with a jr-IDE (1GB DOM) and a parallel port side car with a compact flash reader and backpack 1.44mb floppy attached. Tandy video mod.
Re: CGA2RGB Convertor on Ebay
See for me it was the other way around... I watched this item for months and months on ebay at $50 and didnt want to pay that much. After watching it for about a year I was convinced the price would never drop so I broke down and got one and 10 days after I bought it he dropped the price to $30. Lets say I was not overly thrilled at the timing and how I bought it 10 day too soon after watching it for that long but thats the way it goes, I did notice after a few months he brought it back up to $50.Chuckphd53 wrote:Bought one of the CGA2RGB convertors on Ebay about 5 mos back for $30 Now on Ebay (only 1 seller it seems ) they are $50

Oh and I never saw it at $15 for the almost 2 years I have seen it selling.... maybe the CGA2RGBv1 dropped that low before he started selling the CGA2RGBv2 ones. I'm glad I have the v2 one instead of the v1 version.
I figured it was a much better value then having to get a crt and could use on my PCJrs and on my 5160s if I decide to run them with their original vid cards instead of the vga cards I have in them now.
