So I've been restoring my PCjr- and the unit I originally started with seemed to live a pretty rough life. I took it completely apart- you may know from another thread- I got drive errors which I eradicated by replacing the drive with another unit I had. I got a NOS motherboard- and decided to throw that in, after replacing the 8088 with a NEC v20- easy to do as the CPU was socketed from the factory. I tool the one remaining original motherboard screw on the back end, and got new replacements at the hardware store.
However- the front screw that goes on the left-side of the left cartridge slot.. Seems like this screw needs to be narrower, and longer than the stubby screws that mount the back of the mobo. Anyone know what this screw is? If not off the cuff, anyone willing to take theirs out and measure it (and I don't mean that in an Eddie Haskel sort of way!) and lemme know what the screw length (and if possible thread pitch and diameter) is?
Thank you!!!
