Can't you extend the jrIDE IDE connector using a short cable enough to free the hole?

Ouch, so seems pretty useless for me. Having two power bricks around the Jr is not really my cup of tea . I need to adapt a picoPSU internally right now.

Yup, that's it. The PCjr boots from floppy after 4-5 seconds. Thanks! I've used a PC-DOS 2.1 boot disk without flaws.
