Re: Visi ON PCjr Mouse
I personally love the grossly over-engineered adapter that converts from DB25 to IBM PCjr proprietary serial. The thing weighs more than the mouse.

Re: jrIDE - time for another production run?
Additionally, I would prefer to build it myself for what that's worth. The "ConnectorPeople" site referenced elsewhere on this forum does appear to still have the sidecar connectors in-stock. I saw that the minimum order was a bit of an issue, it looks like someone would need to buy 3 conn...

Re: jrIDE - time for another production run?
I would love to snag one from another run. I'd be willing to sacrifice an original board to steal the sidecar connector from it.

Re: Just Snagged a PCjr - Eastern PA
Was able to cobble together a temporary power supply (two tin cans, some duct tape, a copper wire, coat hanger, bubble gum and some velcro, stand back while I plug this in)... She works!!! http://togeo.com/retro/images/pcjr/pcjr-boot.jpg Additionally was able to image some boot floppies for it. This...

Re: Visi ON PCjr Mouse
Hahaha, I just noticed that it says "Manufactured by Mouse Systems" on the bottom. Wow. I'm dense sometimes.
So... that confirms it 110%.

Re: Visi ON PCjr Mouse
It's crazy, Google is turning up very little about this mouse. I've even tried searching for "Mouse Systems 2-button" and come up nearly empty. The only other reference to it I see out there is this one: http://spiderweb.wz.cz/mysi/visicorpm2.htm (Bring a translator)... the translated text...

Visi ON PCjr Mouse
Part of the PCjr package I just snagged was a really cool mouse called the VisiCorp Visi ON M2. It's optical, which is totally mind-blowing for the time. In brief discussion with Mike (forum deity) he indicated it was probably a re-labeled Mouse Systems product and judging by the pictures I found on...

Just Snagged a PCjr - Eastern PA
Hi there! Just picked up this beauty: http://togeo.com/retro/images/pcjr/pcjr-overall.jpg This is the "upgraded" model with the floppy drive and 128k memory. I also have some side cars, one that adds a parallel port and the other is an additional 128k. I am very pleased that it came with a...
