Re: Anyone know hot to get Arkanoid 2 to work on PCjr?
Reviving this old thread here... I am having the same trouble, as mentioned in these old posts, with the original Arkanoid game. My Jr has a Tandy mod and a JRIDE, and the game works fine with CGA graphics selected. However, if I select Tandy graphics, the screen scrambles and the system locks up. H...

Re: Use the 4863 monitor with other computers?
I believe with something like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/CGA-Card-to-IBM-PCjr-Display-Adapter-Use-the-IBM-4863-with-a-CGA-card-/274767321041?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0 You should be able to use the monitor with other CGA (and possibly EGA)...

Re: CHOICE.EXE or equivalent for DOS 5.02 (for building menus)
The solution: Norton Batch Enhancer, an applet in Norton Utilities (version 6.0, written to work with DOS 5). Specifically: BE.EXE ASK will let you make a user defined selection and tie it to an ERRORLEVEL, which you can then GOTO within your DOS 5 batch. Additionally, if you are not a fan of Norton...

The “New” Print Shop Software - Crashes on PCjr
Greetings All, I have been trying, for quite some time, to get The New Print Shop up and running on my Jr. All the old literature says that it should run with 512K. I’ve got a jrIDE and verified with mem /c that there is plenty of memory available. However, when I try to run it, the screen goes blac...

Re: Build a powered SCSI terminator?
Hi Mike, Thanks for the reply. My 3510 has a passive terminator installed. I can definitely try an active terminator, they are plentiful on eBay. I came across the following info that made me think I might need more than just an active terminator (I was thinking that even an active terminator didn’t...

Build a powered SCSI terminator?
Greetings All, In cleaning out some of my father's old junk (he was a lifelong IBMer), I've come across a mint IBM 3510 external SCSI housing configured with a single speed CDROM drive. I would love to hook this up to my PCjr via a Trantor / Adaptec APA-348 miniSCSI / parallel adapter which I also h...

Re: SD-Cart JR: An MMC/SD card reader cartridge
Greetings! Thanks again for all of your work on this. I'm really enjoying using the card reader with the Jr. This is just a suggestion, and perhaps this has already been done, and I have missed it. But, as you are updating your files, would it be possible to add the ability to insert flags when load...

CHOICE.EXE or equivalent for DOS 5.02 (for building menus)
Greetings All, Recently, I was building some batch file menus for the junior (running with a JR-IDE and patched IBM PC DOS 5.02). As I was writing out a dozen or so smaller numbered batch files for the menu, I got to wondering if there is an equivalent to CHOICE.EXE for DOS 5. It would really be nic...

dual monitors on PCjr
Greetings All, I'm wondering if anyone has had any luck splitting the A/V signal from the PCjr monitor cable and sending it to two different monitors. I would like to do this, and I think it would be fairly easy if I go the db9 y-cable route and separate out the audio, but I'd prefer not to cut the ...
