Re: New Member

One thing I know we can post immediately is all of the PCjr Club newsletters from the Eugene PCjr Club. That's just a matter of getting them scanned. (It is on the todo list.) Mike, I've already scanned them and a bunch of others that Brian sent me. I just have never got around to distributing them....

Re: My PCjr Setup & Collection

I'm pretty sure that the piggy back chips are the Tandy 1000 mod.

Re: jrNewsletters

I thought someone had already posted them.

I don't have any objections to them being posted but I presumably they are copyrighted and I have no idea who would need to be contacted to get permission.

Re: Parallel port CDROM drive

I got an early back pack CD rom drive to work on my PCjr with the jrExcelarator in it. It only worked at the 9.5 mHz settign on the clock. If you want to get a CDrom to work your best bet is using one of the parrallel to scsi converter cables. You can then get a 2x or maybe a 3x CDrom drive to work....

Re: Palmzip.sys vs Guest.exe

I also purchased palmzip. It does have that annoying delay, but it sure makes it easy to move stuff around and test different PCjr, that have parallel ports. If your looking for speed, you can attach a hard drive using a Parallel to SCSI adapter. The transfer rate will be about three times faster th...

Re: Hello there... new here...

Mike, You are correct the microsoft booster requires dip switches to be set correctly to get 736K mod. There is an article in one of news letters that tells you how to do it but I remeber that Chuck Terra posted having problems with the dip switch setting recommended and posted a correction on the o...

Re: Anybody awake?

I moved about 3 years ago and I have been a little busy learning my new job. I have three juniors set up, but haven't really done anything with them since the move. I have recently acquired a jrExcellerator and a speech attachment which I have yet to install. I drop by this site about once a week to...
