Re: Hello :)
Thanks for the welcome :) My PCjr is actually brand new (well, new as in still sealed in the box.) I haven't yet opened it, and plan on doing an unboxing video just for fun once I get back from my business trip I'm currently on. Nice! That's gonna be pretty cool, can't wait to see that. Welcome to ...

Re: MicroSolutions BackPack Parallel Port Devices
Nice. It seems more functional than I expected. It's probably an effective way to tranfer files to the hdd if the system is off the network for some reason.

Re: MicroSolutions BackPack Parallel Port Devices
All those accessories on you rig always leave me amazed. Btw, how well does that optical drive perform while it's connected to the PCjr?

Re: Developing a replacement power supply
I'm not sure if it's funny or just a headache that the information in the technical reference manual has this wrong.

Interesting. I am getting reading from that fuse.
I also tried to jump it and still no power. This is giving me a headache. :S

Re: Power Card short.
Ah, crap, you've got the short card. I think on that one the fuses are the ceramic globe-looking things, but I'm not sure. On my board, (I just pulled it out to check) it does look like a green resistor, but it has bands. It's marked "F1 5A" on my board. I'm thinking about taking a hacksa...

Re: Power Card short.
The symbol underneath marks them as a resistor. I'm confused. A green resistor witho0ut any bands? :S Uh… Anyway, whatever these things are, I checked them for continuity and there was no readings. No readings from any of them. @jmetal88 Is this the fuse you were referring to, or am I supposed to be...

Re: My resurrected PCjr
Hehe, yep, the tiny LCD screen looks funny; but is specially handy when you're testing machines here & there. As for now, my PCjr doesn't have a RGB cable; so using only composite, this LCD gives unexpected good results. If finally I put my hands on a RGB cable the PCjr most probably will end p...
