Re: PS/2 to PCjr Keyboard Converter - Schematic and Source
Mine is due in on Saturday so I'll be able to try it first thing Monday morning. I am curious how it works with the keyboard buffer routines on the PCE Combo v.2 cartridge. My guess is it shouldn't make a difference.

Re: Sold a jr today :-)
Colonel Sanders having a PCjr didn't seem right as I seem to remember where I was living when I heard he had died and that was earlier. Yep, not possible as Colonel Sanders died in 1980. It was a sad day for my fried chicken loving self. Of course, that was before Bojangles opened (and unfortunately...

Re: PS/2 to PCjr Keyboard Converter - Schematic and Source
What would prevent the use of a real PCjr keyboard cable trimmed down?

Re: Melted Power Supply Choke
I put the Megaboard back on. I recently switched from a crippled Rapport Drive II System (nothing but the floppy worked) to a working Racore Drive II unit. The Racore unit has a more robust power supply and supplies both +12V and +5v to the sidecar. I am thinking of adding a small exhausting fan to ...

Melted Power Supply Choke
I had a floppy drive develop read problems. It is the A drive in a PCjr with a Racore Drive II. I swapped it out with a known good drive. I decided It would be easier to just pull the power supply card (10") out to swap the fan power cable. It wouldn't come out. I tugged a little harder and got...

Re: Racore Sidecar
After some further research it would appear it is the same circuit board. The difference being with the DMA version having the DMA chip, different jumper settings and removal of a terminating resister. Racore sold a kit that allowed a user to upgrade the Model 1500 to the Model 1501. They also put o...

Racore Sidecar
Is the sidecar the same on the Racore Drive II (model 1500) and Racore Drive II with DMA (model 1501). I know the Racore Drive II with DMA comes with a floppy controller and different cables but is that the only difference?

Good find. One of my PCjr monitors is being to hum. Maybe nothing, maybe a sign of impending death. Could be the way to go
