I haven't seen a Zip Plus in the wild. If anybody gets their hands on one (hopefully by a loan), try it out and please report back.

I've heard that they don't work, but I don't know what the problem was.

I was unfortunate enough to have actually bought one of them when they were new. What a waste of money that was. I still have the receipt for the thing too. It's too bad I didn't know about the class action lawsuit over it, as I would have gladly traded it in for a full SCSI model.

The SCSI Zip was my first Zip drive. I thought I was so elite compared to those lesser mortals using the parallel port versions. At the time I was - I already had a high end SCSI card, SCSI hard drive, SCSI tape drive, SCSI scanner, etc. The performance of SCSI under a good operating system (OS/2) was far better than the comparable parallel port Zip drive.

And now here we are 10 years later hoarding the parallel port versions because the stone simple implementation works on our medieval hardware ...
