Tandy 1000 with hard drive



And a low serial number. Number 234, very likely to be from the earliest production run.

Where did you find it? Craigslist, ebay?

That is indeed an extremely low serial number for the original Tandy 1000 -- it might be the lowest known, so kudos for finding this. The hard drive was obviously added by one of its owners, as that was not standard with the 1000, only the 1000 HD.

It was ebay. The lowest serial number of these I ever saw was about 10 years ago. #000008 was for sale on ebay, but the listing was over a long time before I found it.

3 or 4 years ago I bought another one of these. I joked on another forum that it must be the filthiest Tandy 1000 still in existence but it had one thing going for it. One of the photos in the listing showed a Creative Music System/Game Blaster card plugged into one of the slots.
