Are there any more bare boards available? I'm looking for one.

I tried emailing alanh a month or so ago to see if any kits are still available. Never heard from him. Don't know if that means there aren't any left or maybe he was just insanely busy at the time. Come to think of it, mbrutman mentioned that this software wasn't always sending out notifications that mail was pending. I'll try again.

I hope there are more because I'm going to pimp the boards at VCFMW at the end of the month (where I'm making a 2nd attempt at giving my PCjr presentation).

I'm actually out of kits and I really don't have time at the moment to do a refill. I've been travelling a lot (in Ukraine atm) and work keeps me very busy when I'm in the states. The main blocking item is side car connectors. Someone will need to wrangle another order out of State as step one.

Another issue I have is the board limits me to 50 PMs in and out bound. Even holds outgoing messages till I free up space. Makes it hard to communicate through PMs

I'll see if I can do something about that ... seems like the easier item.

I'm just looking for the bare PCB at the moment. I can wait til they become available since I'm not in a huge hurry.

I went ahead and placed an RFQ for 25 each of the two sidecar connector parts, AMP 532772-2 and AMP 532771-2. The first link that came up in a google search was Octopart. Guess we'll see what happens.

Oh, good! the board is back up!

I got a hit on the sidecar connectors. Talking to the rep, it seems that they have a little over 4000 of both pieces. He is going to mail me a sample on Monday to make sure it is the right part.

Now, if only I had a 3D printer, we could make our own sidecar housings!

You know, I never thought of that before -- taking your suggestion seriously, do you think the materials created by a 3d printer would be sturdy enough? Not melt under heat or get brittle over time, etc.?
