Has anyone tried using one of these on a Jr?

Never tried, but unless the PCjr parallel port is somehow crippled, they should work.
The Disney Sound Source, if used with software that properly supports it, would sound better and put less drain on the system... however, most software that supports the DSS requires VGA so you'd never really get to see that.
