640K expansion set up Dos 3.3

So here I am trying to get a PCJ set up. I have a working 640K side car and my memory is getting long in the tooth. I was 16 when I did this last. I remember having to set MEMSYS ? or HIMEM? in dos so that it recognized the memory over 256K. If any one can guide me that's awesome.

What you are looking for is jrconfig.sys, or a similar memory manager designed for the PCjr. Jrconfig forces the BIOS to report the extra memory to DOS; anything above 128K is considered extra.
