PC JR Colors, a work in progress

Wanted to make a FUN system from some old pieces, so cleaned and painted parts to look 'FUN'.

You may have to ZOOM out to see the Full picture if it does not show the entire unit, not sure how to do this !

hahaha that is sooo true.....I feel the same way about 'changing the classic JR', but I wanted to add something 'new' other than hardware upgrades.
kinda like the wife getting a new 'dress' still has the same 'chassis under it' !

Referring to your wife as having a chassis can have serious health risks!

Ultimately, I think it looks good, although I don't like the keyboard color because it makes it look like beige ABS plastic that has faded badly. Cyan would have been my choice if you hadn't already used it for the 3.5" drive plate. So my personal taste would be to do the keyboard cyan, and the drive plate dark blue.

I just explained to the wife, the Jr is such a great classic, that it is like painting a classic 65 corvette Purple...
You should not do it,,,, especially if you only have One....

the keyboard color is more of a Taupe than Beige, and I choose it beacause it is neutral and sits close to your eyes when typing, did not want an IN Your FACE color, but it does look better in person....

I imagine the color scheme will vary from person to person and that is what makes it FUN....

I like the primary colors! I also agree that the keyboard color looks too much like advanced discoloration/yellowing that so many old computers develop. Maybe a black or dark blue/purple would be low-key enough for up-close usage... ? Anyway, looks neat!

I am a little horrified at the colors too ... it's great work, but there is definitely something wrong with the air or water down in Florida ...

If I had to recolor the Jr I'd go with black. IBM server black ... it's timeless. I think the black is a little bit more menacing too - people might think twice about making fun of the keyboard if it actually looked cool.

Italian Hoagies at lunch time Thursdays, Open Air, watch the dolphin swim in the river....
Oh....the color.....it's just for Fun not serious at all.... To go with the theme, that the Jr was never a serious platform...( but we know better )
Maybe the next system will be Darth Vader Black ( good idea )!
