Extra case bits?

Post by Forrest »

Was looking at a few eBay listings, and noticed something extra over the ports, not sure if these are extra parts of if these are moulded into the case. Seller claims it was once a POS machine if that helps

They snap on. Not sure when they were introduced but I only have one set between all my Jrs.

There were an "engineering change" after the machine was introduced to help people stop breaking the pins on the motherboard. They help to guide the plugs in with better alignment than what the machine provides by itself. IBM distributed them to anybody who asked.

They would be a good project for a 3D printer, but they need to be a little flexible - they flex as they are inserted.
