Kindercomp bad?
I've heard the PCjr port of Kindercomp is notoriously bad compared to ports to other platforms at that time. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

21 views and no replies so I guess nobody has had the opportunity to compare the PCjr version to other versions?
Re: Kindercomp bad?
a little necroposting around halloween is always appropriate...
Just yesterday I got around to dumping my cartridge of kindercomp. I'm toying with adding it to my cartridge games on floppy disk, but haven't gotten to rebuilding the environment for working on that quite yet.
I did however manage to convert the ROM image into a DOS program.

Included is the PC (floppy) version as well as the PCjr cartridge version. They are slightly different. The PC version appears to have been created later, since it will run on a PC or PCjr, and when a PCjr is detected, 3-voice sound is enabled. The PCjr version will not run on a PC. The title screens are slightly different as well. I've never run the program on any other platform, so I can't really answer your original question, but now you can see for yourself. Maybe if I were 5 again it might be entertaining, but it's probably just more frustrating than anything.
