The “New” Print Shop Software - Crashes on PCjr

Greetings All,

I have been trying, for quite some time, to get The New Print Shop up and running on my Jr. All the old literature says that it should run with 512K. I’ve got a jrIDE and verified with mem /c that there is plenty of memory available. However, when I try to run it, the screen goes black and the computer freezes up. I’ve tried this with versions downloaded from the internet, as well as with installations directly from the original media. A mirror of the directory works fine in DOSBox. It’s sort of a head scratcher.

If anyone has been successful getting this title to run on your PCjr, I would definitely be interested in hearing about how you got it working.

I remember we had a version of The Print Shop but I'm not sure if it was the original or the "New" version when we had our Jr and it worked fine. Our Jr was a Racore upgraded version so if it was the "New" version we might have run it with the PCJr/PC switch in PC compatible mode.
