Kings Quest 2 Venetian Blinds

I can't seem to get KQ 2 to run right on my PCJR with JrIDE. It boots and runs, but has venetian blinds. I deleted the EGA graf files and verified it seems to be loading the jr graphics. Is there a command switch I should be using?

It's been forever since I tried KQ2. I've been testing issues with KQ1 lately on my jr.

I did just try it out on my system. I have a jrIDE (rev A) and booted from the disk and everything looks fine.

If you are talking about command line switches, I can only assume you are talking about a copy that you've installed on CF on your jrIDE? The original was a PC booter so there are no command line options to type. I suspect your copy may be the issue? Does it do the same thing without the jrIDE?

Alright, I had a chance to try the downloaded version of KQ2 which allows it to run without the original disk based copy protection and from a hard-drive, etc. and everything looks good. So I'd suspect that the copy you have is no good although I don't know why it would be. Do any other PCjr games for 16 color have similar issues?

Looks like it was my copy of KQ2. Working now!
