jr-IDE C4, C9 & C11 voltage rating?

Post by antongale »

I'm currently in the process of building a jrIDE and the BOM description for C4, C9 & C11 states a 50V rating for the 22uF capacitors. Both the Mouser and Digikey links utilize 6.3V parts.

I assume the 6.3V part is OK, but I thought I'd check.

It'll be fine. If they see more than ~5v, those caps are going to be the least of your problems

Anything ceramic and 10V or higher. I recommend using temp types X7R, X5R, or C0G/NP0.

Thank you for the replies. Everything is built and running, I did use 6.3V capacitors, so I'll swap them out at the next opportunity.
