Hello Everyone!!

I have been a long time collector of old computers. I started out with mostly Apple ii stuff about a decade ago. Couple years ago I branched off into older IBM and Compaq stuff. And even though I have known for quite some time what a PCjr is, I had never seen one in the wild. Well that all changed about a week ago. Picked up a pretty much complete system minus a monitor plus some software.
Amazingly when I got the system home it pretty much just worked. Initially I was using the keyboard wired to the computer and it worked fine. I realized that it had some blown up 30 year old batteries in it pretty quickly. Took the keyboard apart to clean things up and wouldn't you know, now a--j doesn't work. Every other key works just fine. So have some keyboard troubleshooting ahead of me. Looks like all those keys are mapped back to the same IC.
Anyways, looking forward to getting to know folks on the forum. See you around, Chris
