micro Emacs

So, a while back they were throwing out a bunch of old disks and I dug through the 5 1/4" disks and found one labeled "micro Emacs" on a double density disk. So...I of course got curious if I could get it running on the PCjr.
Has anyone else had any luck getting it to work? I was getting errors about not enough memory.
It's quite possible my jr isn't perfectly setup with my newly installed jrIDE yet. I haven't set up any of the JRCONFIG options or anything yet. Something about having a small toddler running around the house all the time sucks up all my free time, lol.
In any event, I thought it would be fun to run a really old emacs editor. Hell, I'd settle for vi if anyone knows a vi editor that runs in DOS
