I'm almost scared to suggest this but ...
If people were willing to try to hit a particular time window then it might be pretty fun to get together "virtually." IRC works well for those of us with network connected PCjrs; that makes it more authentic. Other, newer machines can very easily participate using IRC too.
Google hangouts is another possibility - a hangout window (non video) can support quite a large group.
I'm on West coast time and usually available later in the evening on weekdays. Weekends work too. If anybody wants to try this sometime as an experiment post some good time slots here and lets see how many of us we can get at the same time.

I'm good any time Sat or Sunday.. maybe 9pm West Coast time? Or is that too late?

Re: Group chat?
East coast - evenings/nights/weekends are best.
Re: Group chat?
We have to keep the east coast people in mind. Luckily there are not too many PCjrs in Europe or this could get awkward.
I'd suggest something between 9pm and 10pm east coast time to start, and it runs as late as it runs. Here on the left coast that would be a three hour time difference, so the window would be from 6pm to 7pm. For me that's kind of hard to hit on a weekday unless I leave early from work and ignore my family, but on weekends that is very doable.
Other suggestions?

Re: Group chat?
My default channel when I'm near the computer doing other things is #vc (vintage computing) on irc.slashnet.org .
For a PCjr event I think we'll get something more appropriately named. : - )

Re: Group chat?
I'd be up for it. Though I might forget about it often like I did after I first joined the Atari Jaguar IRC channel.
Re: Group chat?
It sounds like Mike is on the West coast, but just in case there are other East Coasters here, anyone thinking of going to VCF East? http://www.vintage.org/2015/east/ I'm definitely going, and it would be fun to do a PCjr meetup!

I'll going again this year. However the real party is at VCFSE
Re: Group chat?
Shall we try for an official time this weekend?
I propose 10 EDT/7PDT on Sunday. Lets use slashnet.org, and the channel will be #pcjr .
