Hi guys,

I've been having a hell of a time trying to figure out a way to get the 400k .img files from Demonoid's Retrograde Station to 360k disks, which apparently should be possible with the right kind of software. Well, I tried using ANADISK to format a 360k disk with 10 sectors instead of 9, only to find out ANADISK doesn't work on PCjrs. Strike one. My next step was, instead of using an .img file, I'd use a Teledisk TD0 file. Made by the same guys that make ANADISK, Teledisk doesn't work on the Jr. either. Strike two. Ok, one more file type to try, the CP2 image made from Snatchit, which, surprise surprise! Doesn't work on a Jr!!! Strike three. At this point, it looks like I'm out. I'm at a complete loss here. Has anyone else found a way to get these booter images on to a regular 360k disk using a Jr.?

Nevermind. I found the programs I wanted on eBay for dirt cheap and got em' from there.

What programs? I'm sure any program that extends the format of floppies on the Jr would be of interest to all.

No, I meant I found the EA games I wanted, therefore not needing the images.

Anyone have any helpful info about this? I'm trying to do this, myself... with a game that I own for C64 but not PC (the PC one has not gone for an acceptable price on ebay since I started looking for it).

I haven't had luck in putting one of these EA 400K images into a 360K floppy, but I've found something that gives me hope: Gotek floppy emulator

I found someone online asking for firmware to be updated for the Gotek to support 400K disk images, and the thread indicates that this was done.

I've seen a video of someone successfully using a Gotek floppy emulator on a jr.

The question is whether both can go together (Gotek with 400k disk images in a jr). I'll find out whenever the Gotek I ordered gets off the slow boat from China and reaches my door.

I'd rather just PLAY NOW, though... dangit.. oh, well.

The 400K images from Retrograde station were engineered to be played in Flopper, an early bootable-floppy-game redirector for DOS. They were never meant to be put back onto floppy disks, and likely won't work if attempted.

I have had some success in the past with writing 200K and 400K EA booters to floppy disk. I believe I used TeleDisk to write the images due to their non-standard 10 sectors per track. Sometimes the games worked, sometimes they didn't.
