FYI: If you patch the boot sector in VirtualBox, the boot sector will no longer boot in VirtualBox.
Also, I found that I couldn't FDISK or FORMAT from DOS 5 in VirtualBox and have the disk be read on the jr. I had to run FDISK and FORMAT on the jr. Then the VirtualBox DOS 5 (running from a boot disk, because again you can't boot off of it anymore once patched) could read the disk as well as the jr.
Also, I found that I couldn't FDISK or FORMAT from DOS 5 in VirtualBox and have the disk be read on the jr. I had to run FDISK and FORMAT on the jr. Then the VirtualBox DOS 5 (running from a boot disk, because again you can't boot off of it anymore once patched) could read the disk as well as the jr.

Make sure that your patched diskettes are clearly marked. They won't boot on real machines either, except for the PCjr.
